It is with a heavy heart that we must share the tragic loss of Bob. He survived a bout with melanoma, esophageal throat cancer, and most recently a diaphragmatic hernia, before succumbing to an incredibly unexpected natural cause on June 17th.
Last year, while fighting cancer, Bob and my mom, Laurette, were off work for a total of 9 months. He lost 35 pounds during treatment and faced many hurdles to regain his health. This year, they returned to long-distance trucking, accompanied by their dog, Clarkie.
He is survived by dozens of friends and family as well as, of course, the love of his life, Laurette. We are hoping to cover as much of the funeral cost as we can, as well as to support my mother as she navigates a completely new life and possible career change.
