My name is Courtney, and I’m reaching out for help to keep myself and my emotional support cat, Tay Tay, from becoming homeless. I’m currently facing eviction while waiting for my disability benefits to be approved. Life has been incredibly challenging since I became disabled as a nurse in hospice care. On top of that, I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis and IBD, which have made it even harder to get by.

For the past two years, I’ve been living with very limited income while waiting for SSI, and it simply isn’t enough to cover rent and basic bills. The back rent has added up, and now I’m at risk of losing my home. Tay Tay and I have been each other’s support through all of this, and I can’t imagine what would happen if we lost our safe place.
