'Twas a Week Before Christmas...
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
Except a dang stove malfunction....
Our beloved friend Courtney came home to find her beautiful home filled with smoke from a massive stove fire. The firefighters saved the structure, but everything that remains is coated in thick, toxic soot. Most everything they own has been ruined. The house is currently uninhabitable.
Courtney and her two amazing kids—Wyatt (9) and Naomi (6) are safe but lost a lot.
The good news: They've found temporary housing.
The reality: They need to replace almost everything.
Important context: Courtney does have insurance, which is a huge help, but it won’t cover everything, and the claims process can take time. In the meantime, they still have immediate, real needs as they get through the next few weeks and start rebuilding their daily life. We’re looking to help support the next few chaotic weeks.
Here's where you come in: Can we all pitch in to help this incredible family rise like a phoenix from the ashes?
Friends and family have rallied to collect clothing donations (bless them!!) and organize the move to temp lodging. But when you're starting from scratch, the list is overwhelming. Beds. Kitchen basics. Toiletries. Towels. School supplies. Winter coats. And with the holidays here these kids deserve some magic in the midst of this nightmare.
No amount is too small! When you've lost most everything, even $15 toward a new toothbrush and pajamas means the world.
Let's show Courtney, Wyatt, and Naomi what community looks like. Let's help them start over with dignity, comfort, and a little holiday joy.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. ❤️
