Support Courtney's Recovery: Healing from a Spinal Injury & Managing Type 1 Diabetes
Courtney has always been a bright light in Greenville’s service industry—a familiar, hardworking, and compassionate presence who has spent years taking care of others in our community. Now, she’s the one who needs our support.
Recently, Courtney suffered a serious fall that caused a compression fracture between her L1 and L2 vertebrae, significantly worsening existing nerve pain in her right leg—pain she’s been actively treating for the past 5–6 months. She now has to wear a back brace for 6–8 weeks while managing intense discomfort and limited mobility.
As if that wasn’t enough, Courtney was also diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Her A1C levels are critically high—measuring at 19.3, far above the normal range of 6—and she’s experiencing severe nerve pain, exhaustion, and other related complications. Thankfully, her kidneys are still functioning, but the road ahead is challenging.
This has all taken a tremendous toll on her physically, emotionally, and financially. Despite everything, Courtney remains incredibly grateful for the love and support around her.
Now is the time for the Greenville community—and anyone whose life she’s touched—to give back. Any contribution, big or small, will help with medical expenses, recovery, and stability as Courtney focuses on healing.
Please consider donating or sharing her story. Let’s lift her up the way she’s lifted up so many others.
