Courtney Harris and Alicia Holt are two remarkable women who work with me and inspire everyone around them every day. Courtney became an incomplete paraplegic at age 26 after a car accident that resulted in a T12 burst fracture, leaving her in a wheelchair. Alicia, on the other hand, was just 15 when she was in a car accident that caused fractures from her C4 to C7 vertebrae, as well as a C7 spinal injury with cervical radiculopathy at C6. Despite these life-changing injuries, both women are fiercely independent and work incredibly hard to maintain that independence. Their determination and positive spirit make a difference not only in their own lives but also in the lives of everyone they encounter.

Currently, Courtney and Alicia have wheelchairs, but these require assistance for many daily activities, including getting in and out of vehicles and rolling up hills. The new Quickie wheelchairs are specifically designed to help them overcome these challenges, giving them the freedom to go out completely independently and on their own. This upgrade is essential for their continued independence and ability to work and live life on their own terms.

We are raising funds to purchase two Quickie wheelchairs for Courtney and Alicia. These wheelchairs will make a tremendous difference in their daily lives, allowing them to continue being the strong, independent women they are.
