Help Court Bourne and his girls

Beschermde donatie

Court's health and his chance of survival have taken a turn for the worst. We have one last chance to beat this aggressive cancer but we don't want to waste any time just in case it doesn't work. So, what would you want to do if you knew you may only have a few months to live? Our families' wish is to make memories with Court so our three young girls will remember him if forced to face a future without their Dad. Court is a terrific father and husband. It will be so beyond devastating if we are forced to continue without him. Court needs to enjoy the rest of his life, knowing that it may be cut too short!  We have never been a family to take vacations because of our circumstances, but I would love to take him somewhere within driving distance, peaceful, and with limited to no social interactions. Because Court must lay down to travel, our options for destination are not extravagant and will be to enjoy the scenery he grew up in. If this is Court's last year of life, I ask that you please help make it possible for him to spend it making lasting memories with his family.  If you aren't a fan of this site, please look for @Meg-Bourne in Venmo. Thank you for your help and support!

**************************************************************************************************************
Court Bourne battled cancer in 2010 and again in 2017, but it is back for another round in 2020! Now, Court is facing colorectal cancer head-on, with the addition of his third daughter and having aged 10 years. He is an inspiration to those that meet him and he is very humbled to be cared for by so many. While battling cancer is a major accomplishment, Court has managed to recover from not one but two liver transplants (in 2007 and 2013). He also completed his Bachelors in 2007 while recovering from his first transplant, and earned his Master’s in 2015. I tell you this, not to brag about him, but to attempt to explain the type of person Court is. Even with all of his health trials and tribulations, which began in 2000 (age 19), Court has managed to keep going. He pushes through and does whatever he can to improve the circumstances for himself and those around him. As Court's wife, I am reminded every day of how difficult things can be/get, but also how much there is to live for. It is very easy for someone in his position to give up, but it takes extreme effort and heart to carry-on. Court carries on, every day! He fights! And as he enters yet another fight that just doesn't seem fair, I ask for your support on his behalf. He has never felt entitled to anything and truly appreciates what others have to offer in life. He is totally accepting of anyone that is honest to themselves and others. Court never wants anyone’s pity, as we all have our struggles. But his next battle will be very daunting, and his ability to continue working will dwindle as he gets deeper into treatments.  It would be a bit easier to face if he knows we have his back and he has your support. We humbly ask for your help as we enter into the unknown (queue Frozen II song - yes we have three girls :) ) Thank you for caring enough to read this message!
