Courtney has always had a heart for those in need, whether they walk on two legs or four. When her aunt could no longer care for her dog, Lucy (aka "Big Mama”), due to health challenges, Courtney stepped in without hesitation. Lucy had already lived a tough life, having spent time on the streets before finding her way to Courtney’s family. By the time Courtney welcomed her in, Big Mama was facing a host of health issues, and it wasn't long before she was diagnosed with severe cancer.

Despite only having Lucy for seven or eight months, Courtney poured her heart, time, and resources into giving her the best life possible. She made countless trips to the vet, managed medications, and provided loving end-of-life care. As an entrepreneur, Courtney even had to take time away from her work to make sure Big Mama was never alone or in pain. The costs quickly added up—vet bills, medications, special food, and the emotional toll of saying goodbye to a beloved companion.

Courtney has always been the first to lend a hand or help when someone else was struggling. She truly embodies the spirit of generosity, much like Ace Ventura, with a boundless love for both people and animals.
