Everything lost in apartment complex fire.
Hello, I am raising money for my daughter and her partner, a couple who lost not only their home, but everything that they owned, inside of their apartment that burned completely on August 17th in Tukwila, WA. More than 30 families are without a home and are temporarily being put up in a hotel nearby-but it is uncertain how long they will be able to stay there. I am raising money for my daughter Jade Harley and her partner at this time, as I know each family will be reaching out for help. They barely made it out of the fire with the clothing on their backs. This fire has taken literally everything they owned. They were not even able to retrieve their wallets or identification as they fled. The building and everything in it is gone. They are blessed to be alive as lives were lost in this horrific fire. However, they have nothing to their names that wasn't lost in the fire. The apartment building had no sprinkler system. It is by the Grace of God that they are still alive. I am starting this GoFundMe campaign to help them find a new, safe place to live, one that is equiped for safety and that will provide them a new start. They need everything from first, last and security deposit to get into a new apartment and all clothing, furniture, literally everything that we all need to survive. Due to Covid, this is a particularly difficult time for them and I am asking that anyone who can help, please do so. There is nothing worse than being thousands of miles away from your child and watching their home and belongings burn on live TV feed online for hours on end. They are a loving, hard working couple. Everything they had is gone. There is no savings to draw from, nothing to help them rebuild their lives. Please help them to find housing and the necessities that all of us require, just to get through each day. Thank you for any help you can provide!
