Help Couple Start Over From Flash Flood Loss

Donation protected
On December 6 in San Diego, at approximately 6 pm, Kara was alone in her rented apartment when there was a flash flood warning. With the help of her neighbor, she was luckily able to get out in time before the black waters came in and flooded her apartment all the way to the ceiling. Luckily, her partner Anthony was at work that day and her dog was at her parents' house. But she was only able to escape the black-colored flood with the clothes off her back and her phone. She and her partner are in their mid-20s so have accumulated personal possessions together, but they are essentially homeless right now, with their car, furniture, clothes, personal documents, sentimental items and so many other things more than likely lost or damaged in the flood. Insurance will only cover so much and until it kicks in, they need to bridge the gap so as to begin the recovery and restart their lives. Her 25th birthday is in less than two weeks and with Christmas coming, they need all the help they can get. Please help them out. Thank you.
