On Wednesday, 2/25/26, my coworkers found a five month old pit bull puppy tied up outside the library where I work. He had been left there all day and was still there when we closed at 6pm. My coworkers called me to see if I could help, so I took him home overnight to make sure he was safe and cared for. I’ve named him Country Gravy, and my goal is to get him his shots and have him neutered so I can find him a loving home.
Country Gravy is healthy, though a bit underweight, so I’m feeding him small, frequent meals to help him gain weight safely. Despite everything he’s been through, he has a mild, gentle temperament—he’s still a little afraid at times and sometimes trembles, but he’s a good and sensitive boy. He gets along well with both large and small dogs, as well as cats, and I truly believe he has great potential to be a wonderful companion once he’s had a little time to adjust.
The funds raised will go directly toward Country Gravy’s neuter and shots at a low-cost clinic, along with puppy food and a collar or harness. I’m committed to putting in the time and care he needs, but I want to get him his vet care as soon as possible, without having to wait to save up. Any support you can offer will make a real difference in his future, and I am so grateful for your kindness and help.
