Cosmo has been my loyal companion and best friend, and seeing him sick has been heartbreaking. Over the last few days, he started throwing up and I wasn’t sure what was wrong, so I rushed him to the emergency vet. They ran blood work and did X-rays, and found that he was dehydrated from all the vomiting. The vet decided to keep him so he could get IV fluids and have his kidneys flushed, hoping to get him stable again.
While doing the X-rays, the vet also discovered that Cosmo’s heart is irregularly shaped. This means he may need to see a cardiologist soon to determine if he has heart disease or another underlying issue. The uncertainty and worry have been overwhelming, but I’m doing everything I can to give Cosmo the best chance at recovery.
The costs for his emergency care, medication, and possible follow-up visits are adding up quickly. I’ve already lost Cosmo’s younger brother earlier this year, and the thought of losing him too is unbearable. He truly is my entire world. Any donation, no matter how small, would help us so much and would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for reading our story and for any support you can give.
