Some of you out there have already heard about what happened to Cory back in September. For those of you that have not, he was involved is a pretty sever boating accident. While out with friends for labor day weekend, Cory was ejected from a tube and suffered injuries to his spine, pelvis, foot and knee. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent multiple surgeries to help reconstruct what doctors would later refer to as a "catastrophic" spinal injury.
Over the course of the next couple of months, Cory was able to participate in his first round of non-weight bearing physical therapy. After a lot of work and a TON of patience, Cory was finally given light at the end of the tunnel. In two weeks he can begin undergoing weight bearing physical therapy so he can learn how to walk again! He's got a lot of work ahead of him, but he's determined to make a full recovery.
As most of you know, just going to the doctor for the sniffles can sit you with a crazy medical bill these days. We want to try and give Cory a little piece of mind while he's in his final rounds of therapy so he can focus on walking again and not on bill collectors.
