In March, Cory was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the Liver. He developed Ascites (a backup of fluid) due to blood clotting leading to and from his liver. On April 20th, Cory was taken by ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI. Cory was admitted to the hospital and stayed for 5 days. The team in Marshfield has diagnosed Cory with Polycythemia (a low grade blood cancer) which is causing the blood clots. He has been accepted to The University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin but at this time there are no beds available. Cory was sent home, but will have many follow up appointments in the months to come. He is being treated for the Polycythemia which should help with the Ascites at this time. Eventually, Cory will need a liver transplant and possibly another procedure for his Polycythemia. At this time we are asking for your prayers as our main goal is to get Cory feeling well again. Thank you so much for being a part of our journey!
Cory has taken a leave of absence from his job at Rice Lake Weighing during this season.
He’s very sick and unable to work at this time.
With this significant loss of income and Amanda taking time away from teaching to care for him,
it’s been extremely stressful financially.
We’d be forever grateful if you could bless this family in any capacity.
Thank You so much for your continued support and prayers and love in this time.
