Hello, I'm Cory Carter, Texas born and raised in the heart of Fort Worth. While growing up, I envisioned myself becoming a mechanic, and boy did I underestimate what that career path entailed. Every car and customer handled with utmost care and proficiency was the goal every second of each day. I knew that any mistake, if made, would impact not only my livelihood but also the customers and their ability to get their vehicle back on time. The battle for perfection, safety, time management, and accuracy of each repair was always at the forefront of my mind. Then mastering each component through time as a mechanic became possible through real-world experience in my career. Many great opportunities have come before me throughout my profession as a mechanic and technician. These opportunities helped foster my knowledge, drive, and capabilities as time went on. I've been in the storefronts, developing customer service skills, procuring parts for various repairs and services, learning and connecting with many facets of the parts supply chain and suppliers. I've been the phone estimator, the clerk, the diagnostician, programmer, state inspector, technician, lube-tech, and also spent 6 years as an apprentice, almost every position imaginable in the automotive industry. After 18 years of automotive service and repair, I've decided it's time to start my own business, a business that will fully allow the expression of my passion for this industry and customer service. As technology advances and automobiles become more complex, it is my desire to provide quality parts, service, repairs, and customer service to fit the needs of my local community and more while expanding my knowledge and wisdom of this industry. As of right now, we're just getting started, so the need for more shop equipment and supplies is there and very real. I've begun investing my own money to get the shop kick-started with some of the basic necessities. As we grow, we'll be able to handle more complex and heavy repairs, but for starts, Motormend Automotive will be focused on fluid services, routine maintenance, and basic repairs.
