What started as a pretty routine appendectomy spiraled into Cory needing full ventilator support and being transferred to another hospital for more intensive care. After 18hrs in that state he is now awake and breathing on his own but there is still a long road ahead. They will keep him until either the appendix can be managed by antibiotics, or they will still be doing surgery hopefully better prepared to avoid this all happening again. It's really hard to ask for help- but we need to. There are bills we can't meet and us both being self employed there are no sick days. We would be so grateful for anything. He will likely be at the hospital for an extended time, regardless of which way this goes. Medical bills will be a whole other aspect- we dont have medical insurance. But our priority is keeping him stable, and hopefully be able to have some stress lifted financially. Truly so grateful for any amount, and even if not just all the support you've poured out to our family. Thank you ♥️
