Hi everyone,

On September 7th, I had the honor of standing next to my middle school best friend Carlie, and her amazing husband Cory, as they said “I Do!” Two months later, as Carlie and Cory should be enjoying their lives as newlyweds, life threw them a curveball.

On November 13th, Cory was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He is currently receiving inpatient treatment at Strong Memorial Hospital. Cory is obviously unable to work at this time, and Carlie took time off from her job as a social worker so that she can care for her husband and be with him every day. A lot of Cory and Carlie’s family and friends have been asking how they can help them during this time, so I figured I would put together this GoFundMe. This money will help towards Cory’s hospital bills, which are quickly adding up, meals, hospital parking for members of his family that visit him multiple times a day, and other expenses that will be hard to pay right now without a steady income.

Cory has become such a great friend of mine and is the best husband for my best friend. His positive attitude through all of this has been truly admirable. I know he has an army of support out there, and this is a great way for everyone to show their love and support for Cory and the Beckmans.
