Cortney is the quintessential middle child - loyal, compassionate and kind. Her life is full of examples where she placed the well-being of family, friends, animals and the earth above herself.

•  She opened her home to her siblings and for a time helped raise her little niece
•  She is the ever-present shoulder and listening ear for new and old friends alike
•  She ran a farm, cared for animals as a zookeeper and is the Momma to a pair of loving pitbulls
•  She joined protests at Standing Rock when her personal beliefs and the earth were threatened

Cortney has stood up for so many of us, it's time we stand up for her.

Cortney has breast cancer. But, breast cancer does NOT define who she is. Cortney is everything mentioned above and more. And, she needs our help. She needs the loyalty, compassion and kindness she has shown to so many others.

Her siblings in Kalamazoo and I (her brother in Detroit) have put together this crowdfunding campaign to help with the medical and financial burdens associated with her treatment and recovery. Funds will go towards medical bills, prescription costs and any day-to-day expenses impacted by her diagnosis.

Cortney will be treated in Ann Arbor,  Michigan. Her surgeries are scheduled for January 2019.
