In loving memory of Corren Spargur

Dearest friends and family,

It is with a humble and broken heart that I write to you today, requesting your help and support for the Spargur family in their time of need. My name is Sami and Corren Spargur is my best friend, with the permission of her husband Neil and her daughter Kloee, I share this update with you. Corren is a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and has touched the lives of so many. If you have the ability to help, I know it would mean the world to Corren to know her family will be taken care of.

Correns battle with breast cancer began in 2018, undergoing intensive medical procedures including a double mastectomy, lymph node removals, radiation, and chemotherapy. After several years of pain and hardship, Corren had an appointment with her team of doctors and specialists on July 29th and received some devastating news. Alongside her family, Corren was told that their worst fears had been confirmed, there were no more treatments, procedures, or medications left to try and there was nothing more that could be done for her.

We don't know how much time she has left and while the fight has been brutal, nothing could have prepared any of us for the reality of her beautiful young life coming to an end so soon. The family needs to focus their energy and efforts on keeping Corren comfortable in her final days and soaking up any remaining good moments they can spend with her.

We are humbly asking for donations to help alleviate some of the financial stress during this incredibly challenging time. Your contributions will go directly towards:

Covering the costs of Correns end-of-life arrangements

Previous and existing medical bills for hospital stays, treatments, and medications

Supporting Neil and Kloee with living expenses during and after this difficult period as they learn how to navigate life without Corren

Unfortunately, financial responsibilities do not stop even when a terminal diagnosis is given. Any amount you can give will make a difference and is greatly appreciated. For those of you who have had the privilege and honor of knowing Corren, the following will not come as a surprise to you, but I wanted to share a little bit about her for those of you who haven’t been blessed with the opportunity to meet her.

Corren is a rare type of person. Her kindness and generosity have touched the lives of countless individuals. Corren has been a beacon of light to anyone that has come to know her, or even just shared one simple encounter with her. She has opened her heart and home to many people over the years, including many of her daughter’s friends. Her unwavering support and love have made her a cherished mother figure to all who have been fortunate enough to know her. Whether it was a late-night call in a moment of need, or needing to know if you were making the right decision, Corren was always there, embodying the very essence of selflessness, support, and compassion.

Corren’s love for her daughter is unwavering. Kloee is, without a doubt, the most important and precious person in her life, and it shows. Corren will go to the ends of the earth to make sure that her daughter is happy, loved and cared for. Kloee is only 22 years old and still has so much of her life ahead of her and is now forced to learn how to do that without her best friend. Corren loves her daughter more than anything else in this life, and it would give her heart a lot of peace and comfort to know she was going to have support financially through this.

Corren and Neil’s marriage has been a great example of what it is like to find your soul mate. They are partners in life and love, but most notably, they are the very best of friends. They should be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary on September 18th. Neil’s love for Corren is truly inspiring. He works tirelessly around the clock to provide everything he can for their family, and right now, he needs our help to do that and be able to spend her final days together.   

Corren’s friendship is a rare gift that I have been blessed to experience. Her selflessness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering support have blessed me in my time of need. Corren has been there with open arms and a kind heart, offering comfort and encouragement like no one else. The depth of her friendship is something I will cherish forever, and I know I will never find another friend quite like her.
