Help Corny Heal

Hi, my name is Xochitl Ramirez Onohan, daughter of Cornelio Ramirez, Jr.
On October 16, 2021, my father fell 16 stairs at his home, causing severe damage to his C5/C6 vertebrae, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. On top of this traumatic injury, while in the hospital he was left unmoved for a long period of time causing a bed sore the size of a softball on his bottom which has required special attention, causing me to use FMLA time to care for him.
We are expecting his medical bills, equipment and care to reach over $200k which is no easy feat to wrap our heads around. This injury has left my family to care for him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Due to private insurance policies, we have not been able to get approved for more than an hour a week for at home assistance or other medical equipment and supplies he needs to be able to heal properly so we are asking for assistance to be able to care for my dad in the best ways possible.
My father has been a staple in our family, working as a maintenance engineer since 1986 despite his many ailments and health issues within the last 35 years. On top of the commitment to our family, he has made ample contributions to the local music scene, starting legendary punk group Dead Steelmill in 1985 and cover band Shake, Rattle & Roll in 2016.
Any amount, big or small, will be used directly for his care, medical bills, home improvements, attorney fees and additional medical help we need to get him healthy and comfortable in our home. If you are unable to help financially, we’d appreciate all the thoughts and prayers you’re able to send for the health, safety and care of my father and our family.
