Cornell Sitara is Cornell University's premier competitive Bollywood fusion dance team! From Indian classical to contemporary, from bhangra to ballet–we do it all! For over 30 years, Cornell Sitara has performed and competed at events across campus and the East Coast. Recently, we were accepted into Midwest Dhamaka, a Legends partner competition in Cincinnati, Ohio set to take place on February 11. This is an exciting opportunity for us and an accomplishment that we are incredibly proud of as we will be competing with top Bollywood fusion dance teams from across the nation who have previously placed at the annual Legends Bollywood Dance Championship. Over the past few weeks of our preparation, we have faced many challenges with finances being the biggest one due to our limited budget as a collegiate dance team. Our transportation, registration, and hotel costs alone have accumulated to over $6,000. Hence, we are now asking for your help to overcome this so that we can put our best foot forward in this prestigious competition.
