Help Cori Kick Cancer!

Cori was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in December of 2023, and underwent a thyroidectomy in February of 2024 and shortly after a round of radiation therapy, all while dealing with the loss of her own mother due to this horrid disease. After recent scans and biopsies, it was found to have returned dangerously close to her carotid artery and vocal cords. Cori will be undergoing a second surgery on March 14th, 2025 to remove as much cancer as possible. It is still unknown if further radiation will be necessary.

As a result of these surgeries and treatments, Cori will be off of work for a few weeks to recover and as we all know, bills pile up quickly. As most of you know, Cori owns and operates a local salon (The Beauty Bar) in Dubois. Her salon offers a wide variety of services, as well as donating their time and resources to the community throughout the year. Penn State THON, Community Days and the DAHS prom night mock crash to name a few.

Aside from owning a small business, Cori is also the single mother of a 17 and 10 year old. Anyone who knows her is aware of how selfless she is and just how much she gives to others. She is the very last person to ever ask for help of any kind, but is the first to extend a hand to someone in need. (Which is why this GFM was taken into the hands of others.)

With all she has faced, she continues to do so with a smile and positive mindset.
