This is Corey Weston. Most of you know, Monday this young man was in a horrible, life changing accident. He is a hard working man, he has a wife, and a child, but has no insurance, or means to pay a lot of the hospital bills that he has or will aquire over the next several months.

       Monday morning Corey was setting poles to put up a fence for the cattle they have on the farm. He was digging the holes with an auger, but he hit a large stone area and the auger got stuck. He then got out of the tractor to try to wiggle the auger to free it, but before he could get completely away from it, it grabbed him by his shirt and pulled his entire body into the auger. Many people don't know what an auger is. It is like a big drill that drills into the ground to set fence posts. When the auger grabbed his shirt it pulled him around it completely severing his right leg. His wife was there with him she got him away from it and tied off the blood supply to his remaining stump. He was then life flighted to U.A.B hospital in very critical condition. Upon arrival he went straight into emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and try to fix his leg. It was not able to be saved. The first night was very touch and go.  He lost and received a good bit of blood. As soon as he was stable enough Monday night he went back for a second surgery to close and fix damages on his lower back. He has a very long road ahead of him he is still in critical condition. But is able to speak and wake. Of course he's in unimaginable pain. 

   I am creating this fundraiser for Corey because he is going to have a very long road of repair surgery and even after all that he will have extensive physical therapy,along with having to pay for a prosthetic. With him being in the hospital his income has completely stopped and he will not be able to work for quite a while l, if even then. His entire quality of life has changed. He may not even be able to work afterwards. He is my stepson and we are doing everything possible to help him, his wife, and child get by currently with money for food and gas. Any donations will help them all. His wife has not left the hospital and had to take a medical leave of absence until he is clear of being in critical condition. 

We greatly appreciate everything that can be done to help them in this difficult time. And we all would appreciate the help. More than you could imagine. We all want to thank you in advance for anything that is donated for them. All donations will be used for hospital expenses, and everything that he needs.
