Hi, I’m Corey Pound, and I’m reaching out with a dream to create a community cat café in our town—a safe haven for local stray cats and a place of healing for everyone who visits. As a disabled autistic person, I grew up in a challenging narcissistic family system that left me in dark places. Through my own healing journey, cats have been my greatest comfort—intelligent, caring, and sensitive healers who brought light to my life. Now, I want to share their magic with others and give stray cats the love they deserve.

Our cat café will provide a loving home for strays, food and drink for guests, a calming environment to hang out, partnering with local vets and professionals to keep them healthy and happy. We’ll host annual adoption programs to find them forever homes and offer a cozy space where visitors can find therapy through the calming presence of cats. I’ve seen too many strays living sad lives, and it’s my duty to bring them moments of love and light.

We’re aiming to raise $100,000 to cover startup costs, including a welcoming space, cat care supplies, veterinary partnerships, and accessibility features to ensure everyone can experience the joy of our café. Every donation, big or small, will help us build this sanctuary of healing for cats and people alike.
