Help Corey Overcome Heart Challenges

Hi my name is Corey Gugliuzza I'm 38 years old and from Buffalo NY. Now for those who know me I am not one to ask for help until it is a last resort. I love giving and helping others. Unfortunately this is one of those times. It's been a tuff year for me health wise. I have a list of heart issues that I had fixed or so I thought several years back. After three surgeries over the course of a year I thought everything was good. During that year I couldn't work but got by with some help and different options. 8 years or so later I'm having some heart problems again. It started in April with me going in to Atrial fibrillation. I was in the hospital a few days. It was discovered I had a substantial amount of fluid around my heart requiring surgery. So in May I had a pericardial window to drain the fluid. It went well but I had to spend extra days in the hospital with tubes in my stomach to drain as much as possible during which I went into AFib again. I was released to bed rest at home where i had to sleep on a recliner on my back because of the wounds on my stomach which include two holes and a large 9in incision down the middle of my chest. I was put on a handful of medications to help control it while I healed and waited to have another surgery an Ablation to fix the AFib.
In June I had the Ablation done it when good and after a day in the hospital I was released. Not even 24 hours later I went into Afib again and I went to the hospital. I spent two and a half weeks in the hospital while they monitored everything tried new medication etc. During those two weeks they tried twice to do cardioversion which is basically shocking the heart back into rythem. Both attempts work for a few hours and failed. Also during that time I developed a hematoma in my inner thigh near the surgical site which caused mass swelling on my thigh and another sensitive area between my legs. After the almost three weeks I was released still in Afib but on a dozen or so medications. At home I was on complete bed rest again. For the next month I was stuck in bed not able to move much or even walk without a holding onto things or a cane. During that time I had an outpatient cardioversion that was successful in get me back into rythem again. I went home and felt good for a few weeks started getting strength and energy back. Unfortunately one morning I woke up and went back into AFib agian but a less severe version called Atrial Flutter. Another ablation was planned. While waiting for the surgery I was tested for sleep apnea as it was thought that was a cause for the AFib. It was found I had low level sleep apnea.
At the end of September I had the ablation done and while they did it they found a secondary area so it turned into a double ablation. The surgery went well and I was sent home. Unfortunately two days before the surgery I was trying to help mow the lawn on my riding mower as I am the usual person who takes care of house tasks like that but have been unable to for most of the summer. While cutting the grass I got an insect bite on my stomach under my clothes. The bite swelled and while at the hospital for surgery was given antibiotics. The wound didn't get better after a week and I had to go to the ER and have it cut open and drained.
This brings me up to now. In the last week or so I believe I may have gone into A Flutter again and have an upcoming cardiologist appointment to check it.
So now here I sit unsure of what might need to be done now. I am unable to work and have no income coming in and have depleted my bank account to almost nothing and have bills stacking up and need money for food and other essentials. For those who know me and to those who don't, the possessions that I cherish are my tools and sports memorabilia. I have resorted to trying to sell some of it, but so far unsuccessfully. Mostly to it being Buffalo Sabres stuff and they are in a 15 year playoff drought and suck lol.
So here I am unable to work due to my job of being a fence installer which is a very physical job. As for any job right now is hard because with AFIB I get short of breath and dizzy easily when standing or moving for long periods of time.
I do have to thank my company because they are amazing and hold my job for me when I am able to work as well as check on me and help when they can. I appreciate this so much because most companies would kick you to the curb and its hard to find a company that truly cares about their employees like they do.
So for those making my "health version" of a sports card that's:
Pericardial Window - 1
Ablations/single - 4
Ablations/double - 1
Cardioversions - 11
Cardioversion record 8-1-2*
(Cardioversions are like baseball three strikes and your out) * going back into Afib after having it done I count as an overtime loss.
Stats brought to you by Gary who has been a part of ten of the eleven cardioversions.
One actual positive to come out of this with everything that has happened and through hard work I have lost about 75 pounds so far. Unfortunately with the bed rest some of that is muscle but hey I'm still proud of it.
So I'm asking for any help anyone can provide no matter how small it is, every little bit helps and I greatly appreciate it and it will be returned in prayers for you.
Thank you
