After two years of “fighting” we have decided to accept hospice care. To us hospice does not mean giving up or just waiting for transition. Instead, it is a time to shift the focus from fighting to LIVING! Fully LIVING….no more scans, no more treatments, no more hospitals! We are no longer focusing on brain cancer…we are focusing on helping Corey live his best life!
When we first went on Hospice, the first thing we did was hit the road to give Corey more experiences of life doing all the things he wanted to do. Our little road trip reenergized Corey and helped him actually get and feel better! It was the perfect medicine and we want to continue being able to give that to Corey.
Unfortunately road tripping is really expensive! Road tripping costs an average of $500 per day! Sounds like a lot but when you consider we need specific types of rooms to stay in (ADA/Accessible) and a lot of his “adventure” is eating plus the cost of gas nowadays, it adds up quickly!
When we first did a GoFundMe when Corey was diagnosed two years ago, it was for Corey’s holistic treatment and we believe that everything we did has gotten him to this point (living way beyond his prognosis) without any toxic sickness or suffering through the standard of care treatments that is provided by our medical system. We could not have done any of this without all of you!
So we come to all of you again for another form of “treatment.” Helping Corey live his best life doing all the things he wants to do and all the experiences he wants to have. We have started a new GoFundMe with a goal of helping us hit the road to visit all the places Corey loves and to do all the things Corey wants to do and experience (mostly eat )!
So if you are feeling called to help Corey and I hit the road and join us on our mini adventures as we will keep everyone updated on Social as we travel….Please donate to our new GoFundMe.
As soon as we have enough to hit the road for a few days, we’re doing it! Every little bit will help and the more we can collect the longer we can be on the road and the more experiences we can give Corey!
