Help Corey Heal and Relieve Financial Strain

Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart but also a hopeful spirit as we rally around two extraordinary people, Corey and Lodema. Recently, Corey experienced a serious accident while tending to the evening chores on their property—feeding the horses, putting the chickens away, and completing other essential ranch tasks. In a sudden moment, he lost his balance while on the 4-wheeler, resulting in a Webber C fracture and torn ligaments.

To aid in his recovery, Corey will be undergoing an open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) surgery on his ankle to insert a plate or pins and realign the bones. This life-altering injury means Corey will be out of work for at least 3 to 4 months, placing an immense financial strain on him and Lodema.

As many of you know, the couple is self-employed, and their insurance coverage is far from adequate to cover the mounting medical bills. This situation not only affects Corey’s health but also their household income, making it a challenging time for them both emotionally and financially.

Corey and Lodema are the type of people who would do anything for anyone, always stepping in to lend a hand to those in need. Now it’s our turn to support them as they navigate this difficult time. With Lodema's permission, I’ve created this Go Fund Me page to allow all of us who know and love them, to come together and offer whatever assistance we can.

Additionally, I will be organizing a meal train for those who would like to help out with meals and will update with a link once that is ready. Every little bit counts, whether it’s financial support or a warm meal, and I know it would mean the world to them.
