On Friday, August 21, life changed in an instant for sixteen-year-old Corey Ogden and his family. Corey and a friend were severely injured after coming into contact with a high-voltage electrical source. First responders located him, and he was rushed to RI Hospital with severe, life-altering burns.
Instead of stepping onto the diamond for the game he loves or walking through the doors of Johnston High School to start his junior year, Corey is now fighting the toughest battle of his life.
He is currently admitted to the Rhode Island Hospital Burn Unit, where he will remain for at least the next three months. Corey is facing a long, incredibly painful road ahead that includes more than 16 necessary surgeries, alongside extensive physical and mental rehabilitation.
Through every step of this nightmare, his parents, Stephanie and Harry, won't leave his side. But as any parent can imagine, the emotional and financial weight of this tragedy is overwhelming.
Corey is a fighter, an avid baseball player with a whole life ahead of him, but he and his family cannot do this alone. We are asking for kindness, prayers, and financial support to help Stephanie and Harry cover Corey’s mounting medical bills, long-term specialized care, and daily expenses while they focus entirely on their son's healing.
Please consider donating, sharing this page, and keeping Corey, Stephanie, and Harry in your thoughts. Every dollar and every share helps show this family that they have an entire community standing right behind them.
