Hello, my name is Corey Martin.

After dedicating over a decade to shaping young minds in the classroom, I made the fearless decision to pursue a new calling: to become a champion for environmental sustainability and global development. In 2023, I relocated to London to begin a Master’s degree in International Security and Global Governance at the University of London, Birkbeck. Today, I am proud to share that I have successfully completed my degree — a journey driven by purpose, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to creating positive change.

Throughout my studies, I have focused on the urgent global challenges surrounding water security, coastal adaptation, and climate change policy — areas where action is desperately needed worldwide. I aspire to contribute to building a future where all communities have access to clean, sustainable water sources, solid infrastructure, and renewable solutions for future generations.

However, despite my strongest efforts, I now find myself at a critical crossroads.

My student visa is expiring, and although I have been actively seeking employer sponsorship, I have not yet secured a position offering visa support. To remian in the UK, I must apply for the Graduate Visa Scheme by May 7th, 2025 — which allows international graduates like myself to stay and work in the UK for up to two years. The total cost for the visa and required health surcharge is $2,915, a cost that, after funding my education and living expenses through personal sacrifice of my savings, is beyond my current means.

To put it plainly: without your support, I will be forced to abruptly leave my home in London — resigning from my current role, cutting short my lease, and walking away from the incredible foundation I have fought to build. This isn’t just about staying in London — it’s about continuing the mission I sacrificed EVERYTHING to begin. I am determined to honor the promise I made: to serve, to lead, and to help create a more sustainable future.
