For the past 26 years, I’ve relied on a wheelchair to get around. Recently, I found myself in a tough spot—Medicare only approves new wheelchairs every five years, and my last experience left me with a chair that just doesn’t fit my needs. The process was rushed, and now I’m using a generic, heavy wheelchair that makes daily life much harder than it needs to be.
Having the right wheelchair would mean so much to me. It would give me more independence, make it easier to get in and out of my car, and allow me to get out of the house more often. A lighter, better-fitting chair would help me stay active and connected to my community, instead of feeling limited by equipment that isn’t right for me.
I’m reaching out for help because Medicare only covers the most basic chairs, and I can’t wait years for another chance at a better one. Your support would make a real difference in my life, and I truly appreciate any donation you can give. Thank you for helping me regain my independence and mobility.
