HELP COREY BEAT LEUKEMIA!

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

Hearing the words “you have cancer” is something that no one should ever have to experience. Especially at the young age of 22.

Corey’s cancer diagnosis came as a complete surprise. Up until July 10, 2023, Corey was living his life normally–balancing work, school, and caring for his 2 year old son with his girlfriend. However, sudden bouts of excessive bleeding and bruising began to occur and by July 14th, he was in the emergency room receiving platelet transfusions and completing countless tests, including a bone marrow biopsy. He anxiously waited for the results and on July 15th, Corey received the devastating news that at 22 years old, he was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia, a rare form of cancer.

Corey and his family have a long road ahead of them both emotionally and financially. As Corey fights to overcome leukemia, he is unable to work, attend school, or be at home with his family. Our goal is to raise funds through this GoFundMe campaign which will alleviate the financial stress the family is currently facing and allow them to focus on what matters most: Corey’s recovery. The funds raised will be used to cover medical expenses, including costly treatments, hospital bills, medications, and necessary ongoing care. Additionally, the support will help alleviate the financial burden by covering daily living expenses for Corey’s family.

Corey is a kind and thoughtful individual that has a genuine concern for others. He continually goes out of the way to lend a helping hand and make a positive impact on those around him. Corey’s resilience and unwavering strength are truly remarkable qualities that he shares with his mother. This past year she bravely defeated her third round of cancer.
