Hey my name is Heather. I live in Fargo with my 11 year old daughter, my girlfriend Casey and our 2 dogs in a single family home. September 15 2025 I opened my home to my girlfriend's brother Corey and his 2 young daughters. Corey's daughters are 1 and 5.

Corey had suffered a seizure while driving to pick up the girls in August and unfortunately totaled his van leaving him without a vehicle. September 1st his lease was up at his apartment in Mandan which caused them to be homeless. They bounced around some hotels for 2 weeks and was almost out of money. Corey's job in Mandan said he was approved for relocation to Fargo, and that he was supposed to check in when he arrived to Fargo on Sep 15 cause they were expecting him. However they were not honest about the transfer so that fell through. So he has an appeal for unemployment.

Corey has been working nights at Bosses Pizza trying to save money. He starts new job at Harry's Steak House on November 3.

With the government shut down he wont be receiving assistance with SNAP. Corey is a single dad. Corey needs help to get back up on his own. He needs funds to get an apartment for him and the girls, food and a car. I did ask him to be out by November 15 as we don't have the space or money to really keep everyone here. Anything helps.
