Help Cordon Family Rebuild After Hurricane
Donation protected
Long story short (I've edited this because I tend to be long winded)...
Our family has been impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Insurance has denied our claims to damaged belongings and anything destroyed by the flood (it was a little over 5ft high making a heck of a mess of dirty water and thick mud. We had to spend 3 days clearing out and throwing out our family items and bringing it to the dump. :(

The RV we were living in (supposed to be temporarily while we were in the process of buying a home) was leaking filthy water into the unit but we had no idea how badly it was damaged until we tried to start it. We took it to a mechanic once roads were accessible to get out of the area and now have a bill from them for damages that they found that weren't problems before the storm but are now and that won't be covered by insurance.
We have just found out that our separate insurance will not cover anything that's happened "from above" ie all of the wind/heavy rain damage that punctured the roof and created the leaking within and anything water damaged (see photo for color of water that was coming in).
So, we asked insurance what they suggested since this hurricane left us with some tremendous loss and they said to start a GoFundMe if you can believe it.
So here we are trying to recover from this disaster one step at a time. Learning how to ask for help and being grateful to be able to see kindness and compassion during this time of unknown.
We are honestly over grateful for any support you may be able to offer and outside of financial support we would love anyone with any legal or any experience with RV repair to reach out to us.
$9839 RV mechanic repair costs
$8000 extra work quoted (we opted out of this to do the labor on our own and need help with materials)
Estimated $20,000+ in material loss (problem is we don't have space anymore to replace all of our items).
This got long again so I'll just say THANK YOU ❤️ BLESS YOU.
