My name is Corby, and I am reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times my family has ever faced. Recently, we experienced a couple of heartbreaking losses in our family. The emotional toll was heavy, but it also led to our savings being completely depleted. As I tried to support my wife and child—both of whom are disabled—I lost my job. As such I am behind on rent and facing eviction. I owe $1235 and will owe 1395 more at the beginning of the next month. I do have a new job lined up but will not be paid in time. Everything we recieve will goto rent, and then if we have extra it will goto bills and needed groceries.

This is from my lovely wife Khloe.

Imagine your life. It's an everyday life, but it's a generally good life. Now, imagine the cold grasp of fate clasps you within it's claws. You don't have your life anymore. Everything that made you who you were is gone. Is changed. You are helpless against the waves of existence. The knowledge of how you once were slowly eats you alive.

Once upon a time you were a happy mom. You had friends. You had work. You had college. You had your baby boy that filled your world. Then, all snatched away by the cruel hands of life.

Pain is your only companion. You think of nothing else. Suicide seems your only escape.

Your doctor finds a mass. Your breath freezes in your throat. Cancer? No. "Benign cyst". An endoscopic brain surgery. "Your memory may be impacted." "It's gone. I went through and it was patent and clear."

That conflicts with the MRI findings that the mass hasn't been removed. A second surgery. A craniotomy in a state that isn't yours. Your  memory recall impacted tremendously. But the tumor is gone. The migraine you had for 10 years finally lessened. Finally became a rarity. Only to be traded in for a new pain.

Fire. Burning hell. Starting in your leg and over months creeping into your arms, abdomen, eyes, stomach, mouth. CRPS. It's spread systemically and the pain is astronomical. You try to end your pain permanently. It fails.

Then, a miracle. Not a cure, but a treatment and the hope of remission. The miracle takes hold, and you think your life is back. You can live again. You can hug your son again. You can shower without agony. It's a miracle.

Your memory is far less than it used to be, but you try going back to school. You fail. Then a man finds you. Comes into your life and you think you've found happiness. You've found bliss.

He's the devil in disguise. A monster with a charming, if uneven, smile. He hurts you. He emotionally hurts your son. He cuts you off from everyone you love. You leave and take legal action against him.

The pain is back. Not as bad, but beginning to impact every aspect of your life once again. You're terrified of falling back into that place of agony.

You get a second treatment that gives you remission for years. It's a miracle. And another, you've found your person. You've found someone who will love you without hurting you. Will love your son without hurting him. He understands your pain. He understands your memory issues and fatigue. It's another miracle.

Family begins to drift apart. Life happens. Existing is expensive. Familial abuse happens. We have to leave for our sake and my son's. We live out of a hotel for three months trying desperately to save enough to get into a place.

We find a place. A wonderfully kind man gives us the benefit of the doubt and lets us pay the last payment over 6 months, so we can afford it.

Unfortunately, this place has cockroaches. We don't want to make a fuss to someone who's been so kind. But we have to leave. My son can't live in unsanitary conditions. He goes with grandma. We have two months to come up with rent,  plus a down payment before our lease is completed.

We hate it, but we need help. Anything you can do is very welcome, and we appreciate your kindness. Thank you for sharing and donating.
