Hi, my name is Dana. Last year, one of my best friend's sons was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. 11-year-old Corbin underwent chemotherapy and radiation like a champ. His family did not accept any donations. They did sell shirts in support of Corbin, but any profits were donated to a child cancer charity. However, his last PET scan held some difficult news. Corbin had a mass show up near his heart and lung. It measures 1 x 2 inches. The biopsy showed it was a relapse. Corbin will now have to undergo a stem cell transplant, but it can only be done at a hospital in Dallas. He will undergo two new chemo rounds, after which he will travel to Cooks Children's in the DFW area if he is in remission. He will remain in Dallas for two to four months. One parent will stay with Corbin the whole time, but the other parents will need financial support to travel back and forth to support him. The family will need help with gas, lodging and time away from work. The parents are self-employed, so there will be little to no compensation for the work missed.
