Hello, we're the Walker family, and this is Cora May, who is currently recovering from having a large tumor removed from her spleen.
The same week I lost my sister to pancreatic cancer, I met this little goober. I don't believe in coincidence; I believe she was an angel with fur. She became my life in so many ways, and I believe many pet-owners understand that. Last week at her annual check up, the doctors noticed her gums were pale, and blood tests confirmed she was anemic. X-rays confirmed that Cora has a gigantic tumor coming off her spleen.
Onto the emergency vet and many tests later, we learned she has to have emergency surgery to remove this mass. Pretests cost $3,400, and the surgery itself is $9,000, as of now we are aiming for $7,000. I would do anything for my dog; she is such an essential part of our family, and has many years left to live with us! If you cannot help monetarily at the moment, please take a moment to share; I would greatly appreciate it.
