**Help Cora Attend the NYLF Pathways to STEM Summer Program**
Cora, has the incredible opportunity to attend the NYLF Pathways to STEM summer program, and we are asking for a little help from our community to make it possible.
Cora was nominated by a teacher at her school to attend this week-long program because of her curiosity, dedication to learning, and love of science and problem solving. For the past three years, she has been part of the gifted and talented program at her elementary school and is always looking for ways to challenge herself and learn more.
Cora has a big dream: she wants to become a mechanical engineer when she grows up. She has always loved figuring out how things work, building things, and asking questions about the world around her. The NYLF Pathways to STEM program would give her the chance to explore areas like medicine, engineering, and crime scene investigation while working alongside other students who share her interests.
In addition to STEM learning, the program focuses on leadership development, emotional awareness, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and goal setting. Cora would have the chance to build confidence, make new friends, and grow as both a student and a leader.
Several students from our school district have attended this program over the years, and we have heard wonderful things about the experience and the impact it can have on young learners.
The total cost of the overnight week-long program is $3,399. Our goal is to raise $3,000 to help cover the tuition, and we will cover any travel costs ourselves. This past year brought several unexpected challenges for our family, including medical recovery and the loss of a loved one, which resulted in some lost income.
As an educator, I know how life-changing opportunities like this can be for young students who are passionate about learning. I would love to give Cora the chance to participate in this unique experience and continue pursuing her dreams.
