My name is Cora Robinson. I am a senior citizen and a cancer survivor, and I am asking for help during one of the hardest moments of my life.
After surviving cancer, I believed the toughest battles were behind me. I never imagined that I would be living in fear inside my own home. My apartment in the Bronx has become severely infested with rats, making it unsafe, not just for me, but for my beloved dog, Spicey. Spicey has been my loyal companion through so much, and the thought of him living in these conditions breaks my heart.
Every day, I worry about my health, my safety, and the well-being of Spicey. No one should have to live like this—not a senior, not a survivor, and certainly not a devoted pet who depends on me.
Recently, my situation was covered by ABC 7 News, and I am grateful that my story was heard. But awareness alone doesn’t solve the problem. I need to relocate to a safe, clean, and secure home where I can live with dignity—and where Spicey and I can feel safe together.
The funds raised will go toward moving expenses, housing costs, and the essentials needed to start over. Asking for help is not easy, but I cannot do this alone. Every donation, every share, and every prayer brings Spicey and me one step closer to the safety and peace we deserve.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me and Spicey find a fresh start.
With gratitude,
Cora Robinson (and Spicey )
