Hello, my name is Claudia Sanchez, and I run Coquena Animal Shelter, a safe haven for cats and dogs in need for the past 15 years in Colombia. Over this time, thousands of animals have found love, care, and hope at Coquena, and we have worked tirelessly to give them a better life.

Today, I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart. Our shelter faces imminent eviction in just 2 months, and 500 animals will be left without a home. After exhausting every possible solution, we have no other option but to turn to you for help.

We urgently need to buy a plot of land where we can build a permanent home for these animals. Finding an existing property is nearly impossible, and land in our area—a popular tourist region in Colombia—is very expensive.

Land needed: 90–100 million COP

Building materials: 30 million COP
