Copilot came into my life in 2015, and from the very beginning, she has been my soul dog. Through some of my darkest days—especially after I became disabled and struggled with severe depression and anxiety—Copilot was always by my side, offering comfort, love, and a reason to keep going. She’s not just my companion; she’s my family, my support, and my best friend.
Recently, Copilot was diagnosed with Transitional Cell Cancer on January 7, 2026. This came after she was already facing health challenges, including a heart murmur and heart valve disease diagnosed in September 2025. She is currently under the care of both an oncologist and a cardiologist in Nashville, TN. Her treatment includes oral chemotherapy with NSAIDs, full panel labs every six weeks, and full ultrasounds every twelve weeks. Unfortunately, our pet insurance denied our claim for her cancer treatment, making it even harder to cover the costs. If we can reach our goal, we hope to switch to radiation therapy, which could shrink her bladder tumor and give her several more years by my side.
Copilot has always given back—she’s helped raise thousands for shelters, foster kids, and pet sanctuaries. Now, I’m asking our community to help give back to her. Your support will help cover her ongoing treatments and, hopefully, provide her with the chance for more time, comfort, and love. Thank you for considering helping Copilot and for being part of her journey.
