On Wednesday, May 14th, a fire engulfed the generator shed at the home of Els Cooperrider and her son, Sid, destroying the generator and brand new batteries. Their homeowners insurance (including fire) was cancelled two years ago due to their location in a "wildfire zone" as was the insurance for most of their neighbors and many Californians.. They have a temporary generator up there now, but are hoping to raise funds for new batteries and equipment to get them by while they save for a new power supply. Please give what you can.
