Please consider donating to this amazing GoFundMe for Cooper. He is on his way to kicking Fibrolamellar Carcinoma’s butt!! This is an extremely rare type of liver cancer, that has no symptoms.
The family found out something wasn’t right September 21st 2019, right after his 10th birthday. His surgery was on October 3rd and it went as well as it could have. They took 1/3 of his liver, all of his gallbladder and bile duct. The doctors removed the large tumor but the only way to ensure elimination is chemotherapy via a port.
His mother, Ashley, has not been able to work during this horrific time. Her leave from work has been exhausted and bills are piling up. Everything from regular monthly bills, the initial ER visit, ambulance ride to transfer hospital, all testing - CT scans, MRI’s, biopsy, surgery, and everything in between.
Ashley’s birthday was November 14th – the day her son started chemotherapy.
Ashley also decided to postpone her wedding (scheduled for November 16th) in order to focus on her son’s health.
I know I get stressed when I can’t pay my bills and I cannot imagine how difficult it would be with a sick child’s bills piling up. If the finances are available for these necessities, I can imagine some stress would be alleviated and therefore less strain on everyone, during this time when strength is needed most.
Any amount of money will help out, especially with the holidays coming. Thank you so much for taking the time to read Cooper’s story on his fight against cancer and we appreciate any donation.
