Help Cookie Overcome Her Health Crisis

We are the friends and loved ones of Yvonne Morales, better known as “Cookie”. Cookie is a lifelong resident of Orangeburg, NY located in Rockland county. Many people know her by her outgoing, bubbly personality. Her strong ability to always put a smile on your face no matter what the current situation. She’s one of the few people who jumps at every opportunity to aid a friend, neighbor or even a perfect stranger in need. To say she has a heart of gold doesn’t do her justice.

Her family meant the world to her so it’s understandable to know that when her mom passed away she was heartbroken. Sadly she also lost her father and only brother but continued to remain in their family home. It’s where all her memories exist.

Covid took its toll on all of us but having chosen court reporting as her career her primary source of income was no longer a way to maintain her home. We all felt the struggle but for a single woman to survive through the pandemic was extremely difficult. She was forced to exhaust any savings to maintain her home. When businesses began to reopen she took on a second job to try to accommodate the loss of income. She too contracted the virus and just couldn’t seem to regain her previous strength. Having no medical insurance her biggest fear was going to a doctor and ending up with another added expense. Unfortunately, that was a bigger problem than she thought it could become. She recently became so sick that the only option was to go to the emergency room. This led to a lengthy inpatient stay. During this time she was able to obtain medical insurance but now faces a long recovery with no source of income to help pay the everyday expenses to survive.

We, her “Framily”, are asking for help to raise money for her to survive. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. We pray that people will pay forward some of the kindness and generosity she always shows others. We all know the struggles of surviving during these times and we pray that with your help it will help alleviate the added stress in this amazing woman’s life. If we are lucky, she will be able to obtain a placement at a rehabilitation facility to assist in her continued recovery.

She has a long road ahead but she can do this especially if she knows she will eventually be able to return to her home. We want to thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Prayers and wishes are also greatly appreciated.
