A little about Mahat Osman:

Mahat is Somali and lost both of his parents as a child. He moved to Utah as an unaccompanied refugee minor with his younger sisters when he was a young teenager. Mahat was so sweet, thoughtful, loving, and funny. He also battled mental illnesses including major addictions for most of his life and died on January 2, 2025 just after turning 24. Mahat was welcomed into many families along the way and was adopted by Tricia Dexter in 2019. Tricia and his sisters have been thoughtful in planning a memorial and burial that honors their Islamic background and Mahat’s life and all of those who love him. Please help them in accomplishing this goal!
