I am a non-traditional student trying to go back to school to earn my bachelor's in psychology with a specialization in autism and applied behavioral analysis. I find myself single after 25 years of marriage and being a stay-at-home mom for a passel of kids, 4 of whom are adults with special needs and are still at home. I have survived stage three esophageal cancer and health problems I won't go into detail here. Bottom line, I went back to work working with autistic kiddos and am trying to support myself as well as my 4 kids at home while going back to school for my credentials. I currently have 80 credits toward a 180-credit program. This quarter, no matter what I do to cut corners, apply for aid, scholarships, and loans, and work as much as I possibly can, I am still $718 short for tuition and fees. I know $718 doesn't sound like a lot to some people, but to me, it will be the difference of whether or not I can continue my education. Please. If you could find it in your heart to help, I would be eternally grateful and in the future do my best to pay it back in kind.
Thank you for reading this far.
