Help Continue Brittany's Dream
Donation protected
As most of you know by now, we lost Brittany to the devastations of Hurricane Helene on September 27th when her parent's house collapsed during a landslide. Brittany ran a beautiful 16-acre farm outside of Boone. Brittany loved this farm with every ounce of her being, including all the animals, and especially her pups, Royal and Gus. Her mother, Patrice, and step-father, Frank, lived on the farm with Brittany and helped her make it what it is today. Brittany also found the love of her life, Jeremy Gilmer, within the past year, who had moved to the farm to be with her. If everyone knows Brittany, you know how much she loved her family and Jeremy; she would do anything for them.
Brittany was a staple to the WNC farm community and dedicated the past 5 years of her life feeding the community with her beautiful farm products. She spent Tuesdays at the local farmer’s market and helped assist local food banks. While she was well known for her pork, Brittany’s recent obsession was growing the most beautiful dahlias.
Brittany was a huge part of our family. She brightened any room she walked into and always took the time to stay in touch and check in on her people. She also lived her life to the fullest, never missing opportunities to get outside, see music, or spend time with her family and friends. She touched so many lives. As Jeremy stated, "Brittany shined like a precious gemstone, and the best thing about gems is that their beauty and light are here to stay forever."
It is now our time to continue Brittany's dream. The funding donated will not only help Jeremy get back on his feet and the farm to continue on, but will be used to create a foundation in Brittany's honor so she can continue making her mark on this earth, we promise she's not done yet.
May the four winds blow you safely home Brittany, we love you...
