Hi everyone, my name is Layal. My son, Constantine, had a tragic accident and had 2 of his fingers (pointer and middle) torn from his dominant hand. Thankfully, the wonder surgeon he was with was able to reattach his middle finger, although his pointer was unable to be reattached. We do not know if he will ever have use of his middle finger or even if the reattachment will fully take at this time. He has a long, challenging, and painful road of recovery ahead of him.

We are unsure of what the future will hold and what kind of prosthetics he may be able to be fitted with. He has had plans of attending pilot school in the fall and we are hopeful that he will still be able to fulfill that dream. The medical bills are starting to roll in and they are significant. We also do not anticipate insurance will cover the cost of any functional prosthetics.
