MY STORY
If I am being truthful, I never thought this dream of mine would ever come true. Ever since I was exactly seven years old, I dreamed of travelling to America to study film, music, and theatre there. My mind was set on this dream and I have chased after it ever since. Some call it a vision or a vocation, but I truly believe that this desire planted within me, was definitely a part of my God-given talent and calling, and could not be ignored.
I was born into a family where literally every one of my aunts, uncles, grandparents and parents are either a pastor, pastor’s wife or a teacher. Living in a third world nation, going to a first world university is an enormous challenge for most and more often than not seen as impossible. So, Sam, my (soon-to-be) university roommate has made this funding page for me and for that I am grateful. I pray that you may help me take another step closer to this dream.
Due to COVID my first year of study was online at Biola University in Los Angeles and now I plan to fly to America, mid-August, to continue my studies there. I am studying a degree in Cinema and Media Arts (with an emphasis in production) and a minor degree in Biblical and Theological studies. The scholarships and the sponsors for my first year are a testimony of faith and obedience. I was blessed beyond measure and am full of gratitude!
MY GOALS
1. Fly to America and complete the next three years studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema and Media Arts at Biola University.
2. To come back to Africa where I plan to build a film empire to, in particular, showcase the wonderous talent and stunning soil of my beautiful country, Zimbabwe.
3. Use the connections I make in America to enrich Africa’s film industries and develop the desperate talent in Zimbabwe.
4. Show the love of God through my testimony and embody that in my music and future films.
5. Give others the chance to chase their dreams!
