Hi, my name is Connor Watts. I have been selected to represent England at the WKF European Karate Championships in Limassol, Cyprus, on the 6th - 8th of February, 2026. I am excited and proud to represent my country and take my first England Cap.

My Karate journey began at the age of 4, training with Sensei Chris Simpson and Sensei Katie Simpson at Shukokai Karate Academy England based in Kent. Through years of hard work, hours of training, motivation and dedication I have won medals in British and English Championships. Most recently gold medalist in the 2024 and 2025 English National Championships and the 2025 BKF grand slam.

Karate is a self-funded sport in England and unlike many other national teams, athletes receive no funding, meaning travel, accommodation, equipment and competition fees must be payed for personally. I am fundraising to help cover my costs so I can focus on preparation and training.
