Help Connor Fight Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Connor Meuse is a six-year-old from Salem, Oregon who likes pugs, wearing costumes, soccer, and his stuffed toad. We're raising funds to help Connor battle brain cancer and the lasting effects of its treatment.
This June, after several weeks of bad headaches and vomiting, Connor's parents took him to the emergency room. A CT scan revealed a large tumor in Connor's brain. An ambulance took him to a children's hospital in Portland, where Connor was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, an aggressive children's brain cancer. Just four days later, Connor underwent an eight-hour brain surgery to remove the tumor. Now he's in Seattle for radiation and low dose chemo for six weeks, after which he'll do a year of chemo in Portland, closer to home.
The treatment for medulloblastoma can have lasting, significant effects on a child's brain development and growth. Long after this year of intense treatment, Connor will need extra support.
These funds will be put into an account for Connor's benefit, to be used for medical expenses, educational support, and whatever else Connor needs to win the fight against cancer and to grow up to be a healthy, happy adult.
Connor is lucky to have a loving family and a wonderful community who have supported him and his parents Elizabeth and Paul so much already. For those who are far away or have been wanting to find a way to help, this fundraiser is a way to do that. Parenting takes a village, especially when times get tough. Donations of any amount are welcome. Thank you for your support!
This fundraiser is organized by Shannon, a longtime friend of Connor's mom Elizabeth.
