Help Connie Recover from Life-Saving Surgery

Connie needs some help.

On the evening of Wed, July 23rd, Connie was taken to her regular vet after not having an appetite for about 3 days, which progressed to her not wanting to drink as well. After a sonogram and an X-ray, we found out that she has pyometra.

What is Pyometra?

Pyometra is a life-threatening infection of the uterus that affects unspayed female dogs. It causes the uterus to fill with pus, leading to severe illness and even death if not treated quickly.

After being advised on how swollen Connie's uterus was, she was then scheduled for surgery the next morning, July 24th. After arriving home with her surgery scheduled for the next morning, we ran into further complications as she started to leak pus mixed with blood all over the sofa. She was rushed to Kansas City Animal Emergency where she was immediately brought in. She came out of surgery the very next morning and has been recovering for the last 12 days. She's due to have her staples removed this Thursday, August 7th.

Her medical emergency added up to over $3800.

We really appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read, donate, and share.

Much love to you all,

Connie and Jonathan!!
